Recharge Pakistan Green Climate Fund (GCF) funded project for finding nature-based solutions to safeguard the vulnerable people and communities from the climate and water-related disasters through ecosystem-based adaptation.

This prefeasibility study was carried out by the project consultants – WaterSprint along with its partners Deltares, Nelen & Schuurmans and Pegasys. It initiates with Pakistan’s profile with a clear notion that the escalating rate of climate change cannot be ignored. It exhibits a collective public-private-community investment in climate resilience measures required to reduce the vulnerability and enable the vulnerable communities to adapt themselves through ecosystem-based adaptation (EbA)-related interventions. Nevertheless, the roles and responsibilities of institutions, organizations, agencies, sectors, academia, not-for-profit organizations have been enrolled reflecting their stakes and interests and possible contributions to the project.

A potential site for NbS interventions where the conservation of water and mitigation of seepage losses is possible.
